Apple and Pumpkin Picking at Solebury Orchards
There’s nothing quite like apple and pumpkin picking in Autumn, and finding a more lowkey farm is sometimes the best decision you can make. For a less crowded experience, head to Solebury Orchards…just be sure to grab a cup of hot apple cider and a donut on your way out.
Pumpkin Picking Hayride at Johnson’s Corner Farm
For a farm experience that’s somewhere between Solebury Orchards and Linvilla, look to Johnson’s Corner Farm in Medford. Buy tickets in advance for a seamless experience, starting off with pick-your-own hayrides before going to the petting zoo and playground with littles. End the day with lunch and a treat from their market. Bonus: If you’re there on a weekend, expect an abundance of apple cider donuts and live music.
A day trip to New Hope is never a bad idea. Think an abundance of local shops, restaurants, and art galleries all within an array of colorful fall foliage.
Hiking Up to Bowman’s Tower for Fall Foliage
This 14-mile panoramic hike features all the fall foliage one could wish for stretching from Delaware Valley to New Jersey.
Manoff Market Garden & Cidery for Fresh Apples and Tastings
The local cider is made with 100% fresh-pressed apples picked from the farm’s very own orchard. Check out the events calendar and cider menu before planning your trip—but whatever you do, don’t leave without stopping into the market. During the fall, guests can expect up to 25 varieties of apples, up to six varieties of pears, and fresh pressed cider to take home.
Dalton Farms for Sunflower Cutting
During the day, enjoy fall festivities like pumpkin picking and sunflower cutting (with the usual tractor rides and live music). But at night, The Great Pumpkin Glow returns (September 25-October 31), featuring hand-carved pumpkins and interactive displays.

The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire
If you haven’t been, this is the year. Travel back to Medieval times during the Renaissance Faire. The full-day experience is full of plays, games, live chess boards, shopping, and a joust, plus, bloomin’ onions, buckets of beer, steak on a stick, and turkey legs for as far as you can see.
