Fall Festivals and Events Around Greater Philadelphia, the Suburbs, and South Jersey (2026)
There is a particular kind of magic to fall in this region. The orchards open up, the town squares fill with vendors and live music, and it feels like there is a festival happening somewhere every single weekend from mid September through November. Whether you are new to the area, house hunting in a neighborhood you have not fully explored yet, or just looking for a reason to get outside before the weather turns, here is a roundup of what is happening this season across Philadelphia, the surrounding suburbs, and South Jersey.
Philadelphia
The city's neighborhoods each throw their own version of a fall block party, and a few citywide traditions anchor the season.
Philadelphia Honey Festival (September 12, Wyck Historic House, Germantown). Honey tastings, extraction demonstrations, and even a bee bearding exhibition from the Philadelphia Beekeepers Guild.
Delaware River Festival (September 26, Penn's Landing and Wiggins Park, spanning both the Philadelphia and Camden waterfronts). Ferry rides, pedal boats, live bird shows, and family friendly water education.
Mt. Airy Arts Festival (October 3, Allens Lane Park). Live performances, an art market, and hands on stations for painting and ceramics.
St. Nicholas of Tolentine Italian Festival (October 4, South 9th Street). A celebration of the neighborhood's Italian roots with a religious procession, live music, and traditional food.
Brauhaus Schmitz Oktoberfests (September 26 on South Street, October 9 to 10 at the 23rd Street Armory). Traditional Bavarian food, beer, and biergarten seating for up to 4,000 guests at the larger armory event.
OURfest (October 9 to 11, the Gayborhood). A three day celebration of National Coming Out Day with parties, dancing, and a parade.
Manayunk Fall Fest (October 17, Main Street) and East Falls Fest (October 17, Ridge and Midvale Avenues). Neighboring neighborhood festivals on the same day, both with local vendors, live music, and food trucks.
Scrapple and Apple Festival (October 17, Reading Terminal Market). A very Philadelphia mashup celebrating scrapple and apples side by side, with a scrapple sculpting competition.
Philly Coffee Festival (October 17 to 18, 23rd Street Armory). More than 20 roasters, plus food and live music.
ArBOOretum (October 1 to November 1, Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill). A scarecrow design contest now in its 19th year, plus a 100 square foot pumpkin cottage.
Philly Flannel Fest (October 25, Braid Mill in Germantown). Food trucks, wine, local bands, and a craft marketplace.
The Big Dill (November 14, near Citizens Bank Park). Billed as one of the largest pickle parties around, timed to National Pickle Day.

This is where the region's farms take center stage. Most of the big orchard festivals run for weeks at a time, so there is flexibility if a particular weekend does not work.
Bucks County
Scarecrows in the Village (September 7 to October 26) and the Apple Festival (November 7 to 8), both at Peddler's Village in Lahaska. The scarecrow display is in its 47th year, and the apple festival its 53rd.
Shady Brook Farm's FallFest (September 11 to October 30, Yardley). Corn mazes and pumpkin picking by day, spooky lit up wagon rides by night.
Hellerick's Family Farm Fall Festival (September 11 to November 15, Doylestown). Over 40 activities, including a five acre corn maze and a 100 foot corn chute slide.
Yardley Harvest Day (September 19, downtown Yardley). A 57 year tradition with live entertainment, pumpkin painting, and crafts along the waterfront.
Bountiful Acres Pumpkin Harvest Festival (weekends, September 26 to October 25, Holicong). Pumpkin picking, a corn maze, hayrides, and more than 40 activities.
Perkasie Fall Fest (October 4, downtown Perkasie). Free, with local vendors, live music, and pony rides.
The Great Pumpkin Carve (October 15 to 17, Chadds Ford Historical Society). Local artists carve more than 70 giant pumpkins, some weighing up to 400 pounds, alongside a haunted trail.
Canal O Ween (October 25 to 31, along the Delaware Canal in Yardley). Nearly 500 hand carved jack o'lanterns lit up along the towpath.
Montgomery County
Merrymead Farm's Lighting of the Great Pumpkin (September 19, Lansdale). The annual illumination of an oversized talking pumpkin, with live music and maze activities.
Elmwood Park Zoo Harvest Fest (weekends, October 3 to 25, Norristown). Carnival games, animal encounters, and a craft beer bar for the adults.
Apple Butter Frolic (October 3, Mennonite Heritage Center, Harleysville). A 53 year old celebration of Anabaptist heritage with historic trade demonstrations.
GOAToberFest (October 17, Bala Cynwyd). A cemetery fundraiser, of all things, featuring goat encounters and goat made art.
Harvest Festival at Peter Wentz Farmstead (November 7, Lansdale). An 18th century themed event with apple cider pressing and candle dipping demonstrations.
Chester County
Milky Way Farm's Pumpkin Harvest (September 26 to October 31, Chester Springs). Pick your own pumpkins, a cornfield maze, and a homemade ice cream creamery on site.
Oxford Harvest Festival (September 19, Oxford). A free event marking 35 years of the town's apple festival tradition.
Newlin Grist Mill Fall Festival (September 19, Glen Mills). Historic trade demonstrations and a colonial marketplace set at an 18th century mill.

Evesham Harvest Fest and Mount Holly Fall Fest (both September 26). Two classic township celebrations with vendors, music, and a pet parade in Mount Holly's case.

Bellview Winery Fall Fest (September 26 to 27, Landisville). Food trucks, wine stomping, and tractor tours.
Blueberry Crossing Fall Fest (September 26, Hammonton) and Oktoberfest at The Red Barn Farm (October 3 to 4, Hammonton). Two farm centered weekends back to back in Hammonton.
